Learning Outcomes
- Remember: Identify common ergonomic risk factors and musculoskeletal symptoms that require reporting.
- Understand: Explain muscle fatigue, recovery, and the purpose and limitations of ergonomic controls and lifting assessments.
- Select / Determine: Select suitable workstation, tool, material handling and recovery controls in construction scenarios, and interpret a simple hypothetical lifting index.
- Analyze: Analyze a construction task to distinguish controls that reduce the source of ergonomic demand and determine appropriate follow-up after a change.
Construction tasks can combine force, awkward and static postures, repetition, vibration, contact pressure and limited recovery. Learners need to recognize these demands, report symptoms promptly, and select task changes that reduce exposure. This awareness course addresses that knowledge gap through narrated examples and exam-verifiable choices.
Construction workers and supervisors completing an SST specialized elective or reviewing ergonomic risk recognition and task controls.
None. Learners need to understand English instruction and access the online course with working audio.
Self-paced English narration across 15 short video lessons and 30 Tribune slides, worked construction examples, a learner guide, and a task-redesign activity with choice-based corrective feedback. No physical demonstration or written assignment is required.

Review relevant lessons and activity explanations after an unsuccessful exam attempt. Course support is available through tribunest.com. The final exam allows two attempts, each with a 30-minute limit. Further reassessment follows Tribune course policy.
Complete required study and activities under the LMS progression and verification controls, then pass the 25-question final exam at 70 percent or higher, requiring at least 18 correct answers. Exam time and breaks are separate from the one hour of instruction. Successful completion awards 0.1 CEU and one SST credit.
Learners are invited to complete a post-course evaluation addressing course relevance, clarity, instructional effectiveness, materials, confidence in understanding and selecting appropriate responses based on course concepts, and opportunities for improvement.
