What is HAZWOPER training?
HAZWOPER refers to OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response standard, 29 CFR 1910.120. It establishes training and safety requirements for certain hazardous-waste site workers and emergency-response operations. The required training level depends on the worker's duties, exposure potential and the part of the standard that applies.

HAZWOPER Training FAQ
Does every hazardous-work employee need 40-Hour HAZWOPER?

Workers who qualify for the 24-hour category under 1910.120(e)(3)(ii) or (iii) need at least one day of supervised field experience.
