Course Need / Needs Analysis

Construction workers need to recognize medical emergencies and access the response arrangements for their jobsite. This general elective addresses awareness, information access and timely activation of help. It does not qualify a learner to administer first aid or CPR or replace a practical responder course.

Target Audience

Construction workers and supervisors who need SST general-elective awareness of medical emergencies, jobsite response arrangements, first aid supplies, CPR/AED recognition and chemical exposure information.

Prerequisites

No practical first aid or CPR qualification is required. Learners must understand the English instruction and have access to course audio or captions and a suitable self-paced learning environment. This course does not replace recognized practical responder training.

Instructional Methods

English self-paced narrated lessons using 30 illustrated slides, a documented workplace CPR rescue case, original hypothetical choices with explanations, verbal learning checks, an accessible learner guide and a four-stage manufacturer-SDS choice activity with corrective feedback. No physical demonstration, writing assignment, roleplay or live participation is required.
